Disney's Rapunzel from Tangled, saw the film last night and sketched this after it. Story was pretty typical Disney but holy crap the animation was even more stunning than usual. Pencil on paper, colours in photoshop.

I saw "bri-chan's" drawing before this and must say: I like yours a lot better! I find your style more appealing and refreshing.
And if she indeed scrolled through your gallery, she should have given you credit of some sort (if she hasn't already). The similarities are just too striking...

There's an awful lot of cartoon fan art out there. I try my damndest not to copy anyone but sometimes you come across a piece that looks like something you've done even though you never saw the other piece before in your life. Just happens since after all the subject matter is fairly limited. And sometimes it's so subliminal that you've forgotten that you saw the picture but somewhere in the back of your brain it twisted into something else you thought was original... and then you realise that you weren't. Minor similarities are so easy to come across I don't really worry about them anymore. It's only when people blatantly trace that it feels a bit bad but ehh... life goes on, I rather put my energy into drawing new things than worry about old.

I get your point! I still would've thought that an artist of her popularity and level of skill could've come up with something more original.
