I like your style - you should consider seriously about making a BatB comic.
On topic of Gaston yes that's exactly why I think he's such an effective villain because he's what happens in so many situations of domestic violence. He starts off reasonably "normal", sure he's a bit vain and arrogant but not that bad (rest of the village except Belle adores him and by all accounts Belle doesn't seem to mind him *that* much either since she smiles at him and entertains his primeval ways) and then snap he becomes a calculating blackmailer and murderer, I almost wish there was more on his character development at that breaking point but then it would had been too dark for a wholesome family film.

That is the same reason why I still havenīt made any long comics - itīs hard enough to get inspiration on my unfinished fanfics (not Batb ones), and with a comic would take much more work.
But you can make short comics, of just one or two pages, like I do. A short, funny (or sad) story.
