Ink nib pen and Winsor&Newton drawing ink in "peat brown" colour. It could also be "nut brown" but I'm 99% sure I only had the peat brown when I did this one. It's hard to tell afterwards which was which, the nut brown is only marginally warmer tone.
This is absolutely gorgeous. The shading in the colors, the texture you've given the piece, the intricacy of the roses around the pillar, how you drew her neck and shoulders...this is definitely one of my favorite artworks of Belle that I've ever seen, and certainly one of the prettiest. Spectacular work!
Oh my god you weren't kidding on your Tea Time response when you said your gallery had lots more Belle in it. I'm a BatB fanatic and I've been absorbing this particular folder like crack this afternoon O_O I wasn't sure which to comment on, they're all so lovely! I really like your delicate style and strong use of color. I think it deserves a watch
is she waiting for the beast maybe? take a moment to take a sniff at the roses that brought her to him in the first place?...maybe realizing her heart is changing towards him... sorry the author in me just took over looking at this picture.
