Sorry this took so long, life just kept throwing random crap at me and I was visiting relatives for two weekends but anyways, finally, this is the 55,555th pageview kiriban for :iconcallmeb90: Hope you like it. :)

The brief was
"A blonde and long haired girl with green eyes wearing a daisy chain.I would like her to be looking at her reflection in the river with some hair wisps floating in the water.I like simple things so I would like her to wear a simple white dress".

Indian ink and watercolour.

EDIT: For those curious, any resemblance to Ophelia/Hamlet is purely coincidental/subconscious, I really wasn't thinking of her at all when drawing this. >_<

This is very, very beautiful! I specially like how a bit of her hair is in the water. :)
This actually makes me think of the paintings from the swedish painter John Bauer. Have you heard of him?

Thanks and I didn't recognize the name when you said it but I have seen lots of pictures of John Bauer's work before and many other similar illustrators, it's adorable. :) I grew up in Finland so up that neck of the woods you get a lot of fairytale illustrators. Tove Jansson's still my childhood encapsulated though. :D

Tove Jansson is also my childhood. Her books about the moomins and the cartoon about them, I can't remember a day when I didn't knew about them. :D
