This particular one's on DalerRowney Ebony sketch book paper (it's smooth like cartridge paper but quite sturdy so doesn't buckle with watercolours much at all) but I also like to use extra smooth bristol board with watercolours. I use smooth paper types a lot since they scan in better than "proper" textured watercolour paper. These days I only do commissions and other pieces that people mostly want to see in person on watercolour paper (because don't get me wrong, when you see it in person watercolour paper is always the superior choice, just scanners tend to mess it up- you either get all the tiny shadows or lose half the colour). Anything I do to scan in to share on dA/tumblr is done on smoother paper types.
